|
Tuesdays 8:00–9:00a |
In the morning, before the quickness of the world begins, yoga can bring your day to life. Each class focuses on different yogic techniques to wake up the body, the mind, and the soul. Start your day right. |
|
Fridays 4:30–6:00p |
This class explores classical postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayamas) to strengthen and open your body. Sequences are led in a meditative manner, interspersing movement with holding postures to generate strength and heat which encourage the body to release deep-seated tension. Beginners are welcome in this class. |
I’ve been practicing Yoga for nearly half my life, in some form or another. Even before my first official class, as a ‘world traveler’ I discovered the joy of being present, in the moment, a free spirit. Spending time in places like India, Thailand and Bali, parts of the world where spiritual practice is part of everyday life, still resonates with me.
Yoga enables me to embrace that same feeling, without ever physically leaving the room.
Over the years, I’ve studied in different traditions, mainly Kundalini, Classical Hatha, Sivananda, and most recently, Pranakriya with Yoganand Michael Carroll, in which I earned my certification. I continue to learn something new from each teacher I encounter, and each time I sit down to practice.
I’ve worked as a journalist for nearly two decades and have experienced first hand the effects of stress on the body and soul. I’ve also experienced how yoga can help calm the mind, strengthen the body and resolve, to allow healing on all levels.
My goal as a teacher is to guide students to a place of discovery, joy, peace, strength and healing within themselves.
